How they got engaged

How they met

Chris and I were set up by a mutual friend who brought Chris into a coffee shop where I was working my senior year in college.  I met him, he called, we had a first date and almost six years later we are getting married.

How they got engaged

Chris took me to the Lights at Christmas at the Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia.  We walked around twice before he found the perfect spot  - a secluded bench near the tram stop.  He got down on one knee and asked me to be to marry him.  I was so shocked I could not remember if I said yes.  It was very romantic and so sweet

ONE LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON ON 02/17/2003 AT JENNIFER'S GRANDMOTHER'S HOUSE CURTIS ASKED JENNIFER'S GRANDMOTHER'S FOR HER BLESSINGS AND SHE SAID "OF COURSE HONEY WELCOME TO THE FAMILY.

How they met

They became friends while both attending Middleton High School.  Kyle left for college in 1995 and they lost touch.  When he returned to Charleston they were reaquainted through a mutual friend in 1997.  Kyle took Amanda to her senior prom and they have been together ever since.

How they got engaged

Amanda and Kyle were vacationing with Kyle's family on Folly Beach one weekend in July.  Sunday, July 1, 2001 Kyle asked Amanda to join him for a walk on the beach near the Morris Island Light House.  It was there on the sand dunes where he proposed and Amanda said yes!

How they met

We had mutual friends and we met each other one night. We, of course, went our seperate ways b/c we didn't know each other. I went to a New Years Eve party at his house with some friends and the next night we were up all night talking. We have been inseparable ever since.

How they got engaged

He had some pictures taken that said in the first one, "Brianna". The second said, "Will you marry me?" The rest of the pics were of special things throughout or relationship. Since my occupation is developing pictures, I of course got hysterical when I saw this. I turned around because all of my co-workers were telling me to look. Eric was standing there with the ring. He says he knows I really could care less about material things b/c I didn't even pay attention to the ring. I cried forever, and then he stopped hugging me and asked "So does this mean YES?"

How they met

We've known each other for 13 years.  We went to school together in Ohio.  After Ethan graduated he moved to Charleston, SC to attend The Citadel.  We didn't speak for 6 years!  I got his email address from his mother and emailed him one day.  Now I live in SC too.

How they got engaged

It was on Amanda Phillips birthday.

How they met

We met at Heartland Bar in South Bend. One of my best friends was friends with one of his best friends. They introduced us on February 14th after 12am. After meeting, he asked when we could go out on a date. I told him that he would not call me because I was from Chicago (almost 2 hours away). He replied, ""Don't give me your number then"" We both challenged each other. Unfortunately, I was out of town all week. He called the next weekend. We went on our first date the weekend after that and have spent every weekend after that together.

How they got engaged

 He asked me after a romantic candlelight dinner for two in my apartment. First, he gave me a pair of ND earrings. He asked if I wanted the rest of my present. Of course, I said yes. So I closed my eyes again and he placed the ring on my finger. I was so shocked and happy that I cried. Once I stopped crying, I said yes!!!
